Easter Sunrise Service

We hope you will join us on Sunday April 20, at 5:30 a.m. for Resurrection Sunday celebration of the Easter Sunday Sunrise Service at Mather Point Amphitheatre which is 150 yards east of Mather Point. May be cold and wet, so please dress appropriately.

We’ll also have an 11a.m. service at the Shrine of the Ages on Resurrection Sunday as well!

All are welcome to come and take part in this wonderful Grand Canyon tradition!

If you have any questiions, please contact us: (928) 638-2340

Since its inception, the Easter Sunrise Service has always been interdenominational.  We will worship with members of all Christian faith traditions. Let’s rejoice together with fellow believers from around the world as we lift our voices in praise and hymns as we watch the sun rise over God’s beautiful creation the Grand Canyon.

While the early morning temperature will be cold, and possibly wet, our hearts will be warm with the joy of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. Arrive early to get the best seats. Please dress warm, the weather may be very cold and wet, again, please dress appropriately.

Visitors and residents with personal vehicles please park at the Visitor Center parking lot #1. There will be ample parking available. Watch for signs directing you to the amphitheatre and volunteers in orange vests who can direct you to the service site.

Visitors and residents without personal vehicles please use the free shuttle buses. Ride the Blue Shuttle Bus route to the Visitor Center Bus Stop and then follow the directional signs and volunteers to Mather Point Amphitheatre.
